"Trying To Save The World"

I was asked by my sister one day,"Funny how you are like buying everyone clothes for there child,ms.trying to save the world"(sonething around those lines).

It's not that I am trying to save the world (well in a way I guess i am), its just that I know deep down inside,someone needs help. I just want to grant them a break. One article of clothes would give them one less thing to worry about. Nowadays, people have a million and ten things to think about. Alot of my friends,family,have children and I see that they worry alot about alot of things,so I guess Im superwoman cause I try to help others. Everyone always think "If I had more hands,more time in a day,another person to help me,then things would be alot better".

My plan or goal, is to have a clipboard and have people write what they need and I schedule what time to help them. This way I figure for once people would be happier. Lately,since this "recession" "depression" whatever,has occurred,people have been working more (which means less time spent with the kids rather its help with homework,mentoring,quality time,etc),and there has been less help available(meaning less caring,love spread,less helpful people helping people).

See, back in the day,when my parents were young (even when I was young,I'm now 25),neighnors would watch your children,people would visit(play cards,have bbq's,basement parties,etc)each other at their houses,but with all the crime,no one does that! Now,with technology(tv,video games,ipods,etc),no one thinks about the importance of socializing,or reading a book,magazine,newspaper.

My point is this: with all of this going on,how do we get our communities back? Our lives back where we have more time for living and making our world better? This is what I want to change. One issue at a time,starting with helping others,giving them a "helping hand". Eventually, helping the WORLD!"

Questioning What I See

Communities unheard of.
Children lost,abandoned&neglected.
Mothers fend alone.
Fathers lockedup,drugged up,or careless.
With Less&less shelters,leaves more&more people homeless .
I ask "Why this?"
Where's the loving,sharing&caring?
Why are parents working three jobs to put food on the table.
While some parents rather care for nephews&nieces.
Kids having kids,dieases being the "in" thing.
Does anyone see what I see?
Cant be safe at home,work,or school.
Kids bring guns,knifes,&weapons for protection.
We cant blame them,its not thier faults that they go to a home where parents and guardians fail to show them the direction to take in life.
Every other day natural disaters showing up on the news.
Young ones killing each other for no real reason.
See we refuse to use the resources that lies in our hearts&minds.
You sit here and ask y she up there to blame?
No Im not here to blame,just saying to you the world that we all should be shame.

Lately we look to the celebrities or government to answer and coverup what we already know.
Why look at the news on tv to see the drama of the world when the most depressing drama takes place at our homes?
Phones ringing of families wondering about constant plans of where to lay caskets.
This is drastic. People stay silent and wonder. Though some know exactly what happend last night,wanting to erase the memory that was traced. Instead of face the dark place.
But to be free,you need,to speak.

As I sat and watched the show "Extreme Makeover -Home Edition", I realize that maybe that is what I want to do for a living. I like to help people, so why not become an employee or volunteer of the show!

There is a family that was being helped out named the Beaches". Now, i have watched this show many times and i love them all. But this family I love because, in there story, it was a couple who have kids of their own but they adopt, foster MANY kids. (Especially handicapp or special needs kids).

I loved how much love and care that flows in that family. I was suprised that the ACTRESS (one of my favorites) Jessica Alba even helped out! So that gave me the extra umph to find my niche. I loved how the lady Tracy, works. She is my favorite on the show that connects and works with the little girls or ladies of the family that is chosen.

This episode was especially special because there was a tv volunteer that helped! And this was the first time that they did that on the show. I wouldn't be able to do that because once I get started, I would want to not stop helping and want to be a permanent helper on the show.


Young Money/Cash Money -

As we know the rapper Lil' Wayne, has been taken to jail. While there, he has decided to setup a website (www.weezythanxyou.com), to reach out to his fans. With this site, he has provide the address to the jail he will be held at. This way, his fans will be able to send him letters to read and possibly respoond back to. (yes,i have written my letter). If you click on the link, you will be able to get the addree.

I find this idea VERY helpful because it gives us an invitation to get to know him. And he can get to know his fans. (Besides weight lifting, maybe reading letters can give him something else to help him through the time).

I wrote him because I think that my connection or shall I say the connection that I want towards celebrities that I admire or like are that they are people. Its like sending a letter to an old friend. So I want to relieve some of the stress that they go through. I want to be a friend to them regardless that they have money or they have fame. Just like saying that they were going through something that this fan really helped me,or I will help this person if they ever need help know matter what because of how that send some hope to me.

So yeah, me liking Tyrese, Fizz, Boog, BowWow, etc there are REASONS much deeper than people may think, for me liking them. Its hard cause the outer appearance is what I like and what others see I like first that makes it hard to comprehend.
